Sunshine Wave Studios loves to make art in fiber arts and wood. There is not much that we will not do. We also work with traditional art media. Mark apprenticed to become a luthier; his love for the mountain dulcimer is clear in the instruments that he builds.

Comments on the Military and Business Ownership
My job in the Regular Army, from 1988-1992, was listed as a Track Vehicle Mechanic. And I did train as one. During Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, though, I served with the 5th Combat Engineers in a much different capacity. I taught art classes that range from drawing to sculpture, where my experience as a mechanic and my service in war are outwardly inconsequential. But I cannot overstate the importance of the discipline that I gained in my training.
